My wife is a practicing psychologist and that, among other good conversations in social media, has me very aware of not taking things for granted in my personal life. That the journey and loving the journey in life isn’t to be missed; that the destination isn’t what you should wait to enjoy.
And I think that in our professional lives, we could learn a lesson from that as well.
For the road warriors, is it fun to feel like you’re living in airport terminals and hotel rooms? Of course not.
But think about your days in retirement and maybe wishing sometimes you were back in the hustle; back on the road for a few days telling your story and making your business happen.
Enjoy the hustle. Enjoy the road if and when you can.
Make time as best you can for your family but when you can’t, don’t hate the work journey too…
